RESPONSIBILITIES: The Vice President for Administrative Services (VPAS) is a member of the President's senior leadership team and serves as the University's chief administrative, business and financial officer, and treasurer to the Board of Trustees.
The Vice President for Administrative Services provides direction and leadership for the delivery of University-wide services in the areas of business and financial services, document and publication services, facilities management, human resources, IL Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board Executive Institute, public safety, and purchasing.
The Vice President also oversees the administrative services of insurance, risk management and emergency preparedness, and state mandated ethics programs.
In addition, the VPAS assists with university coordination with contracted legal counsel and serves as administrative liaison to the Council of Administrative Personnel and the Civil Service Employees Council.

Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated successful financial and administrative leadership at a senior level in a higher education institution including the management of business and financial services, facilities management, and human resources; a record of exceptional data analytics, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to problem solve and deal collegially with the various internal and external constituencies of a comprehensive university; an advanced degree from an accredited institution.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: An advanced degree in business, finance, administration or related field (Doctorate preferred); a successful record of directing diverse administrative and business entities and developing and leading a highly effective finance and administrative team; understanding of the overall processes and functions of a university; experience with data analytics, experience with developing, and implementing effective and efficient financial and administrative policies and procedures; experience with risk assessment and avoidance, asset protection, management of University facilities and construction projects, contract approval and administration, and internal controls associated with fiscal and legal compliance activities.
For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body).

Macomb is located approximately 75 miles from the Quad Cities International Airport (Moline, IL) and 70 miles from the Greater Peoria Regional Airport (Peoria, IL).
WIU-Quad Cities (Student Population: 1,332): The only public university in the Quad Cities area, WIU-QC offers select undergraduate and graduate programs, including a doctorate in education and a doctorate in environmental studies, at its metropolitan, non-residential campus in Moline, IL (population 44,000). The Quad Cities (population 376,000) rests on the banks of the Mississippi River and is comprised of Moline and Rock Island in western Illinois and Davenport and Bettendorf in eastern Iowa. Moline, Illinois is home to the Quad Cities International Airport.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
